Volunteer – How you can help as a volunteer

Friendly Center considers it a privilege to provide volunteer opportunities that connect our supporters and neighbors together with the intent to build relationships and bring about change in positive manner. We are committed to providing an easy process in matching opportunities to interests with our volunteers. One of our program coordinators, Sarah Fuller, oversees this important part of our work. Currently we have volunteers who assist in the office answering phones and greeting visitors. Others help with mentoring after school. And then you have folks who plant flowers and pull weeds so we have a welcoming appearance. We also are blessed to have volunteers who help with the serving of food at the Hot Meals program and special events. We even found a volunteer to be a DJ at the My Guy and I Dance.

Volunteers are a big part of what makes The Friendly Center a special place. It is hard to put into words the feeling you have when you share your talents with others but both you and the recipient will be blessed by this experience.
