Owens Corning hosts FC Fall Festival and Helps beautify the property
Members of Owens Corning did some exceptional work on the grounds of The Friendly Center. We now have a map of the United States painted of the asphalt, a new pergola/patio area, a sensory garden, an area to grow fruit and vegetables, plus an improved playground for the children to enjoy. Having an inspiring and useable outdoor area, as well as an indoor area at The Friendly Center, is a valuable asset to the community.
.
Three hundred and seventy five North Toledo residents shared the sunshine and friendly environment at The Friendly Center as Owens Corning hosted a Fall Festival on October 22. The yard was colorfully adorned with dozens of beautiful orange pumpkins and many children wore costumes, made masks and had their faces painted. Everyone had their fill of “treats” and participated in many games and activities. It was the perfect autumn day to enjoy each other and to listen and watch the wonderful sounds of laughing and smiling neighbors. Thanks Owens Corning for all your support!

The 6th Annual FC Golf Outing was a hit!
On Saturday, September 24th at the Bedford Hills Golf Club a special golf event was conducted to help raise monies to support the children’s programs at The Friendly Center. More than $5,000 was contributed to the cause, thanks to the wonderful support of those who helped by being a sponsor, a player or a volunteer. Below is a listing of the various sponsors. Fortunately for the readers, we are not going to share all the stories including the lucky and unlucky ball bounces or the stacking of the teams to lower scores. Needless to say, the golf outing exceeded all expectations and we look forward to next year.
