Wildwood Environmental Academy creates a beautiful display
The Friendly Center has been blessed to have some amazing youth volunteer at the center this year. The latest example was five high school students from The Wildwood Environmental Academy who have transformed our community garden. It was refreshing to see these youth eagerly dig into a difficult challenge and accomplish this work with joy and respect. Once again we have been touched in a totally unexpected way.
Wildwood Environmental Academy is an environmentally-focused school where the
educational experience is centered around each student. Wildwood
Environmental Academy serves grades K-12 on two campuses. Wildwood
is a tuition-free public community charter school that is proudly managed by The Leona
Group and sponsored by the Ohio Council for Community Schools.

"The Lucas County Retired Teachers Association generously collected over 300 hygiene items for The Friendly Center pantry. The teachers have been on-going contributors to the Friendly Center."
