Adopt a Plot
Phase One of the Friendly Center Adopt A Plot is completed. On May 21 & 23 the King family under the guidance of Charlie Johnson with the CITE Program built and installed a raised bed. The King family has planted tomatoes, green beans, green peppers, along with many other vegetables.
One of the goals of The Friendly Center is to empower families to learn new skills which could pay some nice rewards in the future. On the grounds of the Friendly Center are some special plots of soil ideal for families eager to learn more about growing food. The Friendly Center provides the plot and seeds to get started and the family would adopt the plot and be responsible for planting, watering, weeding and harvesting plus enjoying the food they grow. These limited plots are available on a first-come basis so please contact Sarah Fuller 419-243-1289 for more details and to reserve your plot.
